Challenge

At Friends of Handicraft (Handarbetets Vänner) the students are taught textile craftsmanship from an artistic and a design perspective. Our challenge was to help the third year class align and kickstart their work with their final exhibition.

Process

The group's passion and identity was the main focus during our one-day workshop. We explored the motivation of each individual followed by aligning the group in a co-creative exercise. The day ended with the group deciding on the idea that sparked the most joy.

Outcome

After our 6 hour workshop the group were aligned and had chosen a theme to use as a framework when designing the deliverables for the exhibition.

" The workshop our class did with Amanda and Felicia really set the tone for our collaboration in the graduation exhibition. In a group with different communications styles, their exercises made everybody a part of the decisions. The workshop helped us start brainstorming ideas together and gave all of us a voice in a very creative way. It made all the other decisions easier to make and created a unanimous platform for us to move forward from."
